Graphic Designer & Artist
Hello, I’m Karissa Garcia, a 22-year-old graphic designer with a background in studio art, UX design, and visual storytelling. I’m passionate about creating thoughtful, engaging designs that blend creativity with strategy.
Born and raised in San Francisco, I grew up surrounded by a vibrant art and sports culture that shaped the way I see design. I began drawing and painting at a young age, which eventually led me to graphic design. I was completely fascinated by what the design world had to offer, like communicating ideas and connecting with wide audiences, so I was eager to learn more.
I earned an Associate Degree in Studio Art and completed a UX design apprenticeship that summer, where I gained experience in user-centered design and problem-solving. I’m currently a senior studying at San José State University, pursuing a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Public Relations.
Outside of design, I enjoy playing the guitar, attending Bay Area sports events, and creating art in different mediums.
